Holmes Chapel Health Centre - General Information

Due to the current pandemic our opening hours have changed, we are now open 8am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday. We will be closed between 13:00 - 14:00 daily.

Due to the building work we will no longer have a waiting room for the next 5 - 6 weeks. When attending your appointment please queue outside and ensure you have a face mask/covering. Please do not arrive at the surgery before your appointment time. Thank you for your patience.

For the patients which we are asking to come inside the building, we would ask you to wear a facemask or a face covering which covers both the mouth and nose.  This will reduce the chances of spreading the virus. Homemade face coverings could be a scarf, home-made mask  or a purchased facemask.  We appreciate there will be some patients that for medical reasons find it difficult to wear a face covering, for those patients we would ask they discuss this with the receptionist or clinician who is booking the appointment.

Government advice on the use of face coverings can be found here This guidance states that people who are deemed clinically extremely vulnerable, including those with health, age or equality reasons, don’t have to wear a face covering. There is no requirement to produce evidence for exemption. Therefore Holmes Chapel Health Centre WILL NOT provide exemption letters. We would strongly encourage all people to wear a face covering/mask in enclosed public places. Keep safe and well.

If you feel you have an urgent medical need please telephone The Health Centre on 01477 533100 and choose option 2.

  • You will be offered a telephone appointment on the day with a clinician who will decide what action needs to be taken. We are not taking any advance bookings.
